A boy named Russell wrote the following in pencil across the back of this picture postcard:

“This is where I go to school. My room is at the right hand side down stairs.  There is four rooms in the school house 2 down stairs and one up.  They are ready to go to town so I had to finish. They are waiting.    From Russell”
