Cheyenne Creamery Company plant, Platteville, CO, ca. 1907-10.

The Cheyenne Creamery Company, headquartered in Cheyenne, was apparently a thriving business for a number of years and had outlying operations, including this plant in Platteville.  Other Colorado locations included Brighton and Buckhingham. (The latter is now a ghost town, located on HWY 14 about 15 miles east of Briggsdale  in the middle of the Pawnee National Grasslands.)

Here’s an excerpt from a Cheyenne Creamery Company newspaper ad (undated):  “Our ‘Excelsior’ Ice Cream is the richest, purest cream you can buy. We also make Sherbets, Ices and Frappes from pure fruit juices.”
