This photo postcard, postmarked in Julesburg on December 3, 1909, shows a farmer pausing for a picture on the down ramp of what appears to be a Carroll-type beet dump. Note the “U.P.” for Union Pacific on the rail car. The sender of the cards writes: “Hello all: do you know who this is. This is Ed when he was hauling beets. This is the best dump. Has John’s horses. From all to all,” (unsigned).
