This photo postcard shows one of the activities from Fort Lupton’s Tomato Day festivities in 1908. “Bee,” the author of the card, is in the picture watching the “stunts,” as she puts it, being performed by two young Japanese men. She marked an “X” on her backside and is standing in the buggy just to the left of the horse or mule on the right. To the left of the pole, you may be able to make out two bare-chested men who appear to be engaged in Sumo wrestling. Note the American, Rising Sun and other flags flying above.
